Managing the Adipose Tissues and Reducing Fat using Lipo Lasers

There are different types of fats that accumulate in the human body over time. However, not all of it is undesirable fat. The adipose tissues in the body stores the fat, and is the core source of stored fat in the human body. So, when someone uses the lipo laser machines to do liposuction and melt away the fat (thereby reducing the fat symptoms), essentially they would be working on adipose control and removal.

Fat is stored in the body in different forms - there is unsaturated fat and saturated fat. Just for a brief scientific explanation, fats are classified based upon the bonding structure and number of the carbon atoms that form the base fatty structure (aliphatic chain). Saturated fats do not have double-bonds between carbons in the chain. Unsaturated fats do. In other words, the unsaturated fat still has an extra bond (the second bond which is a part of the double-bond) that can, in theory, open up and absorb another carbon (and thereby saturate). This is the basis of the differentiation.

As far as bodily location goes, visceral fat lies within the abdominal walls, and is one of the driving reasons behind obesity. It lies packed between the different organs inside the abdomen, such as stomach, liver, kidneys, intestines etc. It is different from subcutaneous fat, as subcutaneous fat is what kies beneath (just under) the skin. Lower body fat is often subcutaneous, and is spaced sporadically (not consistently). Abdominal fat is visceral in general, and often is found in a semi-fluid form rather than in a solidified form. This makes abdominal fats among the easiest to remove using lipo laser machines. Also, the subcutaneous fats do get worked upon with these machines.

So note that, the kind of fats people remove with cardio exercises and gym sessions with be different from what they remove over the lipo laser sessions. The lasers do a great job in removing non-solidified fat and the toxic substances contained within. And as layers of fat stored over the years melt away from the abdomen with the laser lipo sessions, the inner layers of stored fats get exposed to the laser (or LED) and eventually it all gets removed. This layering of fats is one of the reasons that one does better in losing fat by spreading over the lipo laser sessions over a few days, rather than doing it all in one very long session. It just makes the process easier and healthier, both.

Another key question is the liposuction fat removal limits - how much fat should one attempt to remove in a single session? There is no unique fixed number that would answer this. However, American Society of Plastic Surgeons recommended a limit of 5 liters of fat removal in one session to be done as an OPD (out-patient process), in a liposuction process. However, a number of people tend to overshoot this limit. There is no universal law either on this (but there could be country-specific and area/state-specific restrictions - check yours if you want to). Also, the liposuction surgeon would have his/her own limits, and would be able to help the patient based upon his/her knowledge, the technology the center uses and the health condition of the patient.

To summarize, if you are a patient, prepare for a few sessions spanning over a few days (unless the lipo surgeon tells you otherwise) for a healthy and effective process. Each session will be between 10-45 minutes depending upon the generation of the lipo laser / LED machine used. If you are a practitioner, you would want to educate your clients to the level that they understand the overview without going into too much medical details or jargon.
